Saying Goodbye to the Two-Year College

For those of you interested in community and technical colleges and their place in the larger world of education, you’ll want to check out one of my recent articles called “Saying Goodbye to the Two-year College.” It was published this month in Leadership Abstracts from the League for Innovation. I’ve already received some interesting responses on this one!

Great article Mark. There's so little of this type of work in the higher ed. blogosphere. So much is focused on higher ed. marketing or teaching and learning, but very little on higher ed leadership, administration, or change...keep it up.

I think you're dead on with your analysis of the two-year college. I hadn't thought of it in those terms, but there is no doubt that community colleges need to redefine the definition of success. I think it starts with the goals of their students. What do you think?

I wrote a little follow up to your article on my blog: http://www.asranalytics.com/a-better-path-for-measuring-success-in-the-community-college/

I'd love for you to comment.

Thanks,
Graham
